The famous **Lord Jagannath Temple** is the heart of this yatra. A 12th-century shrine and one of the Char Dhams of India, Darshan here is the spiritual centrepiece of the entire trip — paired with a holy dip-worthy stay near the Mahodadhi sea and a boat ride at Chilika Lake to see dolphins and red crabs.
Depart Bangalore by flight. Check in, then visit Belur Math, Dakshineswar Kali Temple and local attractions. Afternoon at Science City or local shopping. Overnight in Kolkata.
Morning visit to Mother House, Kalighat Kali Temple, Victoria Memorial, Dalhousie Square, Howrah Bridge, Writers’ Building and Eden Gardens. Evening train from Howrah/Shalimar station to Puri.
Arrive Puri, check in. Darshan at Jagannath Temple, followed by boating at Chilika Lake (Satpada) — dolphins, red crabs, and the sea mouth. Overnight in Puri.
*Note: Dress code at Jagannath Temple — dhoti/kurta-pyjama for men, saree/salwar kameez with dupatta for women. Western wear (shorts, trousers, skirts) not permitted inside.
Visit Konark Sun Temple and Chandrabhaga Beach, then Dhauli Peace Pagoda. Check in to Bhubaneswar hotel; visit Lingaraj Temple if time permits. Overnight in Bhubaneswar.
Visit Mukteshwar, Siddheswar, Kedargauri & Rajarani Temples, plus Khandagiri-Udayagiri Caves. Post-lunch visit to Nandankanan Zoo, then transfer to Bhubaneswar Airport for the return flight to Bangalore.
